Residencies
Three residencies, one standard.
Wylde Systems begins at Lake David at Lake Yarrunga, in a valley that has been doing this far longer than we have.
Every residency is built from scratch. Who is coming. What they are carrying. What the valley is doing that week.
What changes is the shape. What doesn’t change is the standard of hosting, the privacy, and the time left deliberately unplanned.
Private Residency
Two nights, fully private.
For three or four couples, or a small group who already know each other. Friday arrival, a hosted Saturday, an unhurried Sunday. Six guests, or eight by arrangement.

- Privacy without isolationThe place is yours. You are hosted, not left alone with a key and a map.
- Cultural integrity without appropriationWhere a cultural programme is commissioned, Yanaga Murru lead it under their own authority.
- Precision without visible fussEverything is prepared. Nothing is performed at you.
- Provenance without performanceIngredients, makers and Country are real and named. They are not a story told over dinner.
- Space and time without over-programmingUnstructured time is designed in, not left over. The hosts know what is intentionally absent.
The land, and what came before
A meeting place, long before it was a destination.
There is cleared ground and there is bush, and no hard line between them. Kangaroos and wombats cross both without much regard for anyone staying.
Kangaroo Valley has been a meeting place far longer than it has been a destination.
Kangaroo Valley was a place where different mobs would meet, at certain times of the year. We’d use it for trade, for ceremony, and for arranging kinship and marriage.
Drew Longbottom, Yanaga Murru
It is why the valley works for what we do.
