Executive & Founder Residency

Better conditions for judgement.

A private offsite designed to improve the conditions for judgement, trust and difficult conversation. Not a generic team-building retreat.

Who it is for

Founders, boards and senior teams.

Groups who need to remove senior people from habitual conditions, to improve the quality of attention and conversation, mark a transition, repair alignment, or make a decision that keeps stalling in a boardroom.

What we change is the conditions. We do not promise the outcome, and we do not run a fixed methodology. The work is yours; the setting, sequence and hosting are ours.

How the format is set

Format shaped to the brief.

One or two nights, with facilitated or self-directed work blocks, optional documentation and follow-up, all scoped around the group’s objective.

Confidentiality is the default. A deliberate digital pause is available by agreement. Cultural programming can be separately commissioned, and private dining and botanical hospitality sit alongside the working sessions.

What is designed

Sequence, pacing and attention.

Arrival that lets people actually land. Where commissioned, a cultural opening that moves attention from travel to place. Work blocks positioned where the group will be most useful rather than most available. Dinner that does not become a second meeting. Time that is genuinely unprogrammed.

Optional documentation

A record, only if you want one.

Where it is useful, we can produce a written record of the residency, covering observations, decisions taken and questions left open, as a separately scoped deliverable.

It is optional. Most groups do not need one, and no residency depends on producing it. Cultural content is never placed into a record without booking-specific approval from Yanaga Murru.

How we document work

A long timber table set beneath a foliage canopy.

Scoped and quoted, never listed.

Each programme is built and costed against its actual scope: nights, headcount, cultural programme, food, transport, facilitation and production. We issue one costed recommendation with a clear decision path.

Before we design anything we need the objective, the group, the budget and whether it includes GST, the decision-maker and the decision date. That qualification is the first real conversation, not an obstacle.
