Acknowledgement of Country
We Acknowledge Wodi Wodi Kin (Family) Country as being Dharrawal interpreted Country. We extend acknowledgement to the current Traditional Custodians of the land we are situated, and to all Elders Past and Present, and recognise their continuing connection to Land, Sky, Water and Country.

Where a cultural programme forms part of a residency, it is independently scoped, led, approved and priced by Yanaga Murru. They retain ownership, control and authority over their Indigenous Cultural and Intellectual Property.

Where a cultural programme forms part of a residency it is independently scoped, independently led, independently approved and separately priced by Yanaga Murru, with exact attribution and booking-specific permissions.

Who decides
Drew Longbottom is a language practitioner and cultural advisor from the Jerrinja Aboriginal Community. He decides what is shared, how it is described, and where it may appear.
What this means in practice

- Set by Yanaga Murru, not by Wylde Systems

- Per programme. It does not carry across bookings, sites, Country or channels

- Cultural authority may withdraw or vary participation; revenue does not override it
Guest behaviour
Listening before participation.
The sequence, timing and expected guest behaviour during a cultural programme are set by Yanaga Murru. Guests are briefed in advance so nobody has to guess.
There is no forced participation and no opportunistic filming. Drinks and hospitality begin after the cultural sequence, never during it.

When we go into the smoke, it takes us with it. Our scent, our identity, travels with that smoke. The smoke goes through the trees, into the tree, and through Country. Country becomes aware of who you are, and you become a part of Country in that way.

A corroboree is a place where you pass on information. The singing is the verbal expression of the story you’re telling. The dance is the expression of that story through movement.

What we will not publish
Restraint is part of the protocol.
We do not explain cultural knowledge beyond the wording we have been given. We do not describe ceremony content, Country stories or meaning in our own words. We do not use cultural imagery as a promotional device or a click mechanism.
We do not describe performers or practitioners as a Wylde Systems team, and we do not attach cultural material to the corporate identity.
Commissioning a cultural programme
Ask early.
If a cultural programme matters to your residency, raise it at enquiry stage. Availability, scope and approval all take time, and a late request is more likely to be declined than compressed.
