Experiences
Three ways to do it.
Wylde Systems hosts at Lake David, a private property in Kangaroo Valley.
Tell us who’s coming and roughly when. We’ll suggest which one fits and what belongs in it.
The length and shape change. The hosting, the privacy and the open time don’t.
Always
At the heart of a Wylde experience.
You are hosted throughout, not left alone with a key and a map. Time with nothing in it is part of the plan, not what is left at the end.
Culture first
Welcome to Country, Smoking Ceremony and storytelling.
Every booking opens with a Welcome to Country, Smoking Ceremony and storytelling, led by Drew Longbottom of Yanaga Murru.
Farm to table
Seasonal food, grown close by.
One long table, and a menu built around what the region has that week, cooked by a chef who comes in for your dates.
Overnight stays include a shared dinner. Meals for a hosted day are agreed with your booking. Produce is grown within a few hours of the table. Dietary requirements are planned for from the start. Nobody gets a lesser version of the meal.
Drinks
Botanical hospitality by Trolley’d.
Native and regional ingredients, and we tell you where they came from. Locally gathered botanicals are used only when positively identified, safe, in season and approved for the booking.
Non-alcoholic drinks get the same thought as everything else. A botanical drinks class can be arranged.
Options for your booking
What you can add.
Cultural programming
A corroboree, boomerang throwing or other programming, arranged directly with Yanaga Murru.
A seasonal botanical walk
Walk the property with Trolley’d and learn the stories of what is growing there.
On the water
Guided kayaking and canoeing with Optimum Experiences.
A botanical drinks class
Make cocktails and alcohol-free drinks with Trolley’d, using seasonal local produce and selected locally foraged ingredients. Explore the flavours of the place, whether you drink alcohol or not.
On the water
Guided time on the water.
Kayaks and canoes on Lake Yarrunga, led by Optimum Experiences. Nobody goes out alone.
Early morning and late afternoon are the best of it, when the water is flat. Anyone who would rather stay on the bank is not missing anything.
The land, and what came before
Kangaroo Valley was a meeting place long before it was a destination.
Kangaroo Valley was a place where different mobs would meet, at certain times of the year. We’d use it for trade, for ceremony, and for arranging kinship and marriage.

Where they happen
Lake David, beside Lake Yarrunga.
A private property in Kangaroo Valley, a little over two hours from both Sydney and Canberra.
The property is part cleared, part bush, and the two run into each other. Kangaroos and wombats come and go across all of it.
Already delivered
Two weekends at Lake David, in March and July 2026.
Both opened with Yanaga Murru, and Trolley’d provided the drinks at each.
