Two hours from Sydney  |  Kangaroo Valley

Nowhere else to be.

Everything is arranged before you arrive. The whole place is yours. A Welcome to Country, botanical drinks, and a private chef cooking for one long table.

A small group walking away through a corridor of close-standing trees.

What Wylde Systems is

Private hosted stays and day experiences.

Wylde exists to help people reconnect with each other and the natural world. Our longer-term ambition is to bring thoughtful hospitality and the regeneration of land together, beginning in Kangaroo Valley.

Rewiring the connections between people and planet, through a series of curated experiences.

The essentials

At the heart of a Wylde experience.

Every booking has the same three parts. The cultural opening first, then the drinks, then the food. The rest of the day is built around them. What else goes into it is up to your group.

01    The cultural opening

Welcome to Country, Smoking Ceremony and storytelling.

Drew Longbottom of Yanaga Murru leads it, and nothing in the day happens before it.

Smoke rising through the trees during the Smoking Ceremony.

When we go into the smoke, it takes us with it. Our scent, our identity, travels with that smoke. The smoke goes through the trees, into the tree, and through Country.

Byron Woolfrey pouring drinks at the bar as the sun goes down over the valley.

02    Botanical hospitality

The stories of the plants, in your glass.

Drinks by Trolley’d, using locally foraged and ethically sourced Native ingredients. Nothing goes in unless we’ve identified it and know it’s safe.

What goes in the glass →

03    Farm to table

Seasonal food, grown close by.

One long table, built around local and seasonal produce, cooked by a chef who comes in for your dates.

Overnight stays include a shared dinner. The meal for a hosted day is agreed with your booking.

What is on the table →

A long table set by candlelight beneath a hanging arrangement of native foliage.
The lodge at dusk with its windows lit, a long table set outside, and forested hills behind.

Kangaroo Valley

Lake David, beside Lake Yarrunga.

A little over two hours from both Sydney and Canberra. Far enough to switch off.
